THE BAND: The Miami FL based band is made up of five distinguished members - three of which have been together over sixteen years. Those three including Edgy Madness (Drums and Programming) Brik Brixton (Bass) and Kala Droid (Frontman & Lyricist) who are not only the founding fathers of MIAW but have also played together in well known and respected bands such as Erotic Exotic, Liquid Sun, Al's Not Well, All is Well and 10 Sheen. The boys have toured the United States together with bands like Duran Duran, Fishbone and Incubus - just to name a few. It wasn't until they wrote the song Benz and Bicycle that a missing piece of the puzzle came together. They enlisted Dub Mandi . A match made in outer space Dub Mandi quickly gelled with the boys and became a fulltime member. Her electrifying stage presence, sexy style and slick voice blended smoothly alongside lead singer Kala Droid.To complete the chain that makes MUSIC IS A WEAPON a binding force is Hara Acha (Guitars). Hara is a true student of music and musical theory as you can tell instantly by his clever playing and execution. Throwing hooks at you left and right and bringing forth a 6-Song EP called UN PLUG YOUR MIND - MUSIC IS A WEAPON is ready to blast off!
MIAW has taken there act on multiple European Tours where they have amidst doing so, made their fourth annual return to Holland playing everything from THE PARADISO to DANCE VALLEY and The LOWLANDS FESTIVAL. MIAW has also been spotted on the National Dutch TV Show, "Spuiten en Slikken" where they dropped 1968 live and full force.
